Scope of Practice

As a registered Health Coach and Hypnotherapist, I am dedicated to delivering professional, client-centred support that respects the boundaries of both roles.
My practice is rooted in the qualifications, ethics, and standards set by the UKIHCA, the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM), and the American Board of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (ABNLP).

Every session and resource is designed to be safe, effective, and empowering, supporting clients in achieving meaningful and sustainable change.

What I Do

In my role as a registered Health Coach, I work alongside clients to facilitate self-discovery and support lasting improvements in health, habits, and mindset. This includes:

  • Goal Setting and Empowerment: Partnering with clients to set and achieve self-determined health and wellbeing goals.

  • Support and Accountability: Helping clients build self-management strategies and providing accountability for lifestyle and mindset changes.

  • Guidance and Resources: Offering education and practical guidance on nutrition and lifestyle habits, such as reducing refined sugar intake, supporting energy, and improving balance.

  • Mindset and Hypnotherapy Tools: Integrating mindset coaching, NLP, and hypnotherapy techniques to support relaxation, confidence, and positive behaviour change. This may include access to pre-recorded hypnotherapy audios or occasional live sessions. All hypnotherapy resources are designed for general wellbeing and personal development purposes and are not offered as clinical hypnotherapy.

  • Collaborative Care: Supporting clients in implementing recommendations from their primary healthcare providers and encouraging a holistic approach to wellbeing.

  • Direct-to-Consumer Testing (Optional): Educating and signposting clients to reputable providers of private health tests regulated by the Care Quality Commission, for those who wish to gain deeper insight into their wellbeing. Clients order and receive their results directly. I do not interpret or diagnose from test results, but I can help clients reflect on their findings in the context of lifestyle, habits, and wellbeing goals, and encourage discussion with their GP or other qualified healthcare professional.

  • Referrals: Referring clients to other qualified professionals when additional support is needed, such as a Registered Nutritionist, Dietitian, GP, or practitioner qualified in diagnostic testing.

  • Educational Empowerment: Providing knowledge, resources, and tools that enable clients to make informed choices and feel confident in their wellbeing journey.

What I Don’t Do

Certain practices fall outside the scope of my work as a Health Coach and Hypnotherapist. I do not:

  • Diagnose or Treat Medical Conditions: I do not diagnose, interpret medical tests, or prescribe treatments, medications, or supplements.

  • Provide Clinical or Medical Hypnotherapy: My hypnotherapy work is focused on mindset and wellbeing support, not on therapeutic treatment of trauma, phobias, or medical conditions.

  • Provide Detailed Dietary Prescriptions: I do not create meal plans, remove food groups, or provide individualised nutritional therapy.

  • Prescribe Therapeutic Interventions: I do not prescribe or de-prescribe medications, nor do I claim to prevent or cure health conditions.

  • Administer or Order Medical Tests: Any health testing discussed is ordered and managed directly by the client through an independent provider.

Commitment to Professional Boundaries

Aimee Kate Health Coaching is committed to maintaining clear professional boundaries between health coaching and hypnotherapy.
All services are designed to complement, not replace, medical or psychological care.
Each resource or session is clearly identified as health coaching, mindset work, or hypnotherapy, depending on client needs and consent.
My approach is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in professional ethics and continuing development.
