What Is a Health Coach, and How Do You Know If You Need One?
If you’ve ever wondered, “What exactly does a Health Coach do?” You’re not alone.
Health coaching is becoming one of the most powerful ways to support lasting wellbeing, especially for women who already know what to do but struggle to stay consistent.
As a Health and Mindset Coach trained with the College of Naturopathic Medicine and the Mindset Coach Academy, I combine nutrition, hormone support, lifestyle guidance, and mindset tools to help women feel more balanced, confident, and in control of their health, moving you from knowing to doing with clarity and support that lasts.
Whether you’re a busy professional, female founder, or responsible for workplace wellbeing, this guide will help you understand what health coaching is and why it might be the missing piece for you or your organisation.
What Does a Health Coach Do?
A health coach helps you turn good intentions into habits that last. It’s not about a strict plan or quick fix, it’s about creating change that actually works in real life.
I look at the whole picture: nutrition, hormones, sleep, stress, movement, mindset, and the season of life you’re in. Together, we create a plan that feels sustainable and empowering, not overwhelming.
Here’s what that looks like:
Personalised support that fits your lifestyle and goals
Small, realistic steps that build consistency and confidence
Mindset coaching to help you stay on track (and ditch the all-or-nothing thinking)
Tools and reflection to keep you accountable and self-aware
Collaboration with doctors or other specialists if needed
The aim? For you to feel more energised, balanced, and in control of your health, in a way that lasts.
Simple steps, but not always easy...
What a Health Coach Is Not
Not a doctor. I don’t diagnose, prescribe, or treat.
Not a dietitian or nutritionist. I can guide you in developing healthy eating habits, but I won’t create clinical nutrition plans.
Not a therapist. While mindset is part of my work, I’ll always signpost to mental health professionals when that’s more appropriate.
Who Can Benefit from Health Coaching?
Female founders and leaders: You know your health affects your performance, focus, and creativity — but it often comes last on the list. Coaching helps you find your rhythm and stay consistent without burnout.
Wellbeing and HR professionals: If you support the health of others in your organisation, you also need space to prioritise your own. I also offer coaching and workshops for teams looking to improve energy, resilience, and workplace wellness.
Anyone ready to stop starting over: If you’ve tried every plan or challenge, but can’t seem to make habits stick, this work is for you.
How Health Coaching Works
Every coaching journey starts with clarity. We look at what’s working, what’s not, and what support you really need.
From there, we:
Create a practical plan around your goals, energy, and lifestyle.
Build mindset tools that keep you motivated and confident.
Add in accountability and reflection to help you follow through.
You can work with me one-to-one, in small group programmes, or through workplace wellness partnerships, health talks, and events, online or in person.
